G26 or XD Subcompact
Sorry about the last thread. I'm sure someone will learn somthing from it. I have. The G19 vs XD compact post that is.
I learned that the Compact only comes in 45. I was talking about the Sub Compact that I had seen and was interested in.
I found out that the G19 isn't as small as I thought it was. It is the G26 that is the small one.
Guess it wasn't a total waste.

So, now............ Between the G26 and the XD Subcompact. Which pistol would you prefer. Why? How do each of these handle? How about recoil? How about concealment? How many rounds does each carry? You guys know, the usual stuff you would want to know. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....

The G26 of course, otherwise, what is the sense of my username?
Just kidding, although I love my Glock, I don't know enough about the XD Subcompact to make a comparison.Μολών λαβέ

Re: G26 or XD Subcompact
I would say that since you have an xd already the subcompact might be best for you, at the very least you would be able to use the 16 rounders in the subcompact. I would say they are both good guns. Good Luck

Re: G26 or XD Subcompact
There is nothing wrong with either gun, it is really personal preference, and the plus factor that since you already own an XD 9 you can use the full capacity mags. BTW, they make a sleeve that goes over the full size mags that fills in the gap for easier shooting of the subcompact.
On edit, I see you also have a keltec P11... I don't think that there is much that either of these guns give you other than a nicer trigger that you don't already have in the P11Drew Bingaman Chair Susquehanna Valley Libertarian Party

Re: G26 or XD Subcompact
Yeah, I actually like the long hard trigger pull of it. I won't squeeze off a round by accident thats for sure. I don't have it right now. It is back at Kel Tec getting a set of Tritinaum Night Sights, a fluff and buff to the insides, and a trigger shoe installed. I'll probably just stick with it, but if I was going to upgrade, it would be to one of these two I think. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....

I like my Springfield Sub-Compact .9mm
Its comfortable to carry, comfortable to shoot and I like the safety features.

Re: G26 or XD Subcompact
My dad was searching for a CCW a long while ago and was considering both the G26 and the XD9sc. Here's a thread I started on it:
http://www.pafoa.org/forum/pistols-4...lock-26-a.html
Unfortunately he opted for neither and went with a Kahr PM9 instead, and now he is paying the price.
I personally carry the G26, but it's mostly because I was able to pick one up NIB for $395 at a show. I wouldn't hesitate to trust my life an XD9 subcompact however.

Re: G26 or XD Subcompact
I'd recommend holding both and seeing what fits you. I was dead set on a G26 until I held the XD. Other people prefer the G26 feel. They're both fine weapons, just see what one works best for you.
