Re: Thoughts on the MSAR STG?
i thought i saw one at tanners in jamison, pa, you can do a search for tanners on this board and get their contact info and see if they still have it in stock. i have no idea the cost but tanners usually has very fair prices. you can also contact cdnn and see if they have any in stock.

Re: Thoughts on the MSAR STG?
I have the STG-556 and it is great, don't know about customer service because I never had a problem with mine. But I would suggest waiting for one, if your mind is set on one and you like how they feel. And believe me you will enjoy shooting it.
Per MSAR's customer service the PA plant is closing once the move is completed.

Re: Thoughts on the MSAR STG?
The STG is one of the favorites at my house. If I could offer a negative, the optic is only 1.5, which makes it a bit lame. I'm thinking that a red dot with a magnifier would be better.
Also, the trigger is not very smooth but such is the case with a bullpup.

Re: Thoughts on the MSAR STG?
I have really got the hots for an MSAR!!
But I'm really sorry they're moving out of PA....Christ knows, we need the jobs here. I guess Rendell (fat bastard) didn't offer them any incentives.Well, pushed 60 too hard so now I am the big SIX-OH. Now I can be a real pain in the ass! And, who says growin' old isn't fun!!

Re: Thoughts on the MSAR STG?
Nope...it was a business decision because it made sense for Microtech to move to SC. Plenty of gun companies are located in SC and I believe that Microtech has some future ventures with those said companies.
I became friends with someone that works for Microtech. They are a very good company to deal with and I see only good things for them. I've wanted an E4 for a while, but I never "pulled the trigger"
Seems that most STG/E4 owners are in love with their carbines. I doubt you will "hate" your carbine if you choose to purchase one.
If you do have any issue, Dave will take care of you.

Yeah... thanks... that really helps me not want one a bazillion times more.
Dick!
Nice rifle man. You have excellent taste. I'm still burning from the SCAR... you didn't have to throw in the MSAR too...
