Getting night sights installed
What is a reasonable price and turn around time involved to swap in a set of Beretta PX4 Trijicon Night Sights over OEM luminous? I have a couple local quotes up to $80+ which sounds kind of high. Don't have a sight pusher or any experience doing this and was hoping to get someone within an hour drive. Sights are in hand and looking for suggestions. Thanks.

Re: Getting night sights installed
Not close to you but my smith swapped sights on my bro's XD (notoriously hard to get out) for 35 bucks.

Re: Getting night sights installed
Is that the labor or include the sights?
If the sights are included that sounds like a good price to me.
Edit:
One of these days I'll learn how to read
$80 to me is obscene to swap out sights.
Good luck.Last edited by God's Country; April 20th, 2010 at 07:30 PM.

Straight labor should be in the $35-$40 range. It's really about a 30 minute job MAX. Most gunsmiths I've talked to want the gun for a week minimum and I've had a few tell me a month. Basically they want to do it at their convienance not yours. If you call around you'll probably find a few that will do it while you wait. If you have a Gander Mountain near you they have gunsmiths and you may be able to talk them into it...

My gunshop have swapped out All my night sight at no charge in the past. But I spend enough money with them, they must feel pushing for $25 or so just isn't wise idea?

john robinson at classic pistol....i think their labor rate is 30 or 35 per hour. john doesn't work on weekends but you can still drop your pistol off if he's not there since the range is open 7 days a week. classic pistol is a very nice facility with a great selection of guns and rifles new and used so it's more than worth the drive.
