Carbon County Sportsman's Club and Range Listing

The intent of this thread is to provide a listing of Clubs and ranges, including public, in the Carbon County Area.

Route 93 state range, 100,200, and 300 yard rifle range as well as a 25 and 50 pistol shotgun range.

Mauch Chunk rod and gun club has a member only, 100 yard range.

How is the atmosphere there at the public range off rt. 93? Safe? Is there a range officer at all times?

I avoid it at all costs. My last trip there some guy without hearing protection was collecting pistol brass at my feet and IN FRONT of the bench while I was shooting. I have never seen a range officer present. It is not at all uncommon for the "gangster" types from Hazleton to show up. There is another thread about this in the Luzerne County forum where somebody reported an individual who unloaded a magazine point blank into a target while multiple individuals were also down range checking targets.
