Don't you just love it. You give them, lets say 5k in taxes during the year. When it comes time for your "refund". You are able to go out, and pay cash for a loaf of bread. However, that lady down the street with seven kids, and a meth addiction. She can do whatever she wants with the 15k she is getting back for not working. While all year, getting part of that 5k you paid.

That's what I did with my Christmas gift cards. Still need a few little things, but hopefully in another month or so I'll be reloading.

Impress upon the "boss" how much money you'll be saving reloading in the long run. That should work to get you everything you need for awhile.
