Default Gun Shows - Fire dept's small town shows? Shops Sales?

Just about a year ago, I traveled through some of Tioga Co. (and neighboring counties) and I have this "thing" about small town newspapers and pennysavers etc. that I pick up to enjoy the area events etc.

Last year, seems there was a small town gunshow at some of the fire departments etc. advertised. I recall seeing several advertised for the fall. I sure would like to take in a show or two this weekend or next weekend in this area if anyone has a source of finding them. Google dosen't seem to help me with my searches.

Anyone in the Tioga or even Clinton, Potter or Sulivan Co. have a show to see? Or any fantastic gunshops or even good priced sporting goods chain stores in this area would be of interest. I need my fall fix of fine arms and great sales. Please hepl if you can.

I'm unaware of any currently scheduled. There was just one in Bradford back in August. Roulette(potter county) usually has one in the fall and spring, but I don't see one scheduled for the fall this year.

Just make sure to take CASH if you hit any of the small gun shows in this area. You can find some good bargains and interesting pieces, but most of the dealers won't take checks or credit cards.

I missed out on a couple of nice deals before I learned that. LOL

The one in Roulette should be the first week-end in October.

Thanks for the info. If anyone knows of a link where some of these shows are posted, sure would like to take a look.

By small, do you mean about 25 or so vendors at these shows?

Yes, cash is the way to go. They like it green.

Pennsdale FD (a little west of Hughsville off Rte 220 iirc) should be having their show very soon (they usually do March and September).

Pennsdale is usually a good one, although I think it's dwindled some in the last couple of years.

Roulette is usually pretty good as well.

Morris is also a good one, but had fewer vendors last year than before.

Not sure where to tell you to look for them.... I usually just stumble on them while I'm out rat killin'.
