clay target (shotgun) shooting near Philly?
I'm tired of driving to Allentown or Salem to shoot Sporting Clays. And I've even given up on shooting Sporting Clays every week -- I'd settle for renting a bird tosser in a field somewhere and practicing the same shot over and over.
Is there a place closer than 40 miles from Philadelphia where I can take the 'ole SxS out and bust some clays?
thanks.

Hi Clay, try the Falls Township Rod and Gun Club in Fairless Hills. Membership is required but you won't have the drive. It's a nice place, good shooting...

dgg9, I believe that they have an ammo-nazi who watches over everyone. Someone I talked to recently said that they will no longer be a member because of this, stupid rule if you ask me...but they do have a nice trap/skeet set-up...

Falls Township Rifle and Pistol DOES open to "non members", ie the PUBLIC for their sporting clays weekends (first Sunday, I think)
Also, my club, Langhorne Rod and Gun Club, Inc. arond the corner from St Mary's Hospital (LanghorneRodandGunClub.org) has open to the public sporting clays ont he last Sunday of the month, starting at 9 AM.
That would be THIS sunday!

i use Delaware County Sportsman's Ass. its right off of fox road. I also go to West Chester Gun Club its off of boot road they are trap clubs but you dont have to be a member to shoot there and they are a friendly group of people.

Wicen's allows for hand throwers and/or rents spring loaded throwers.
