Concert at Hersheypark Arena
I know the conversation of security procedures at the park has been discussed before.
A new twist though, I am going to see Breaking Benjamin there tomorrow and was wondering if anyone knew the if Security was the same as the park, or do they wand, pat down, etc.?

No metal detectors, pat downs, or wands.
A GREAT show though.
Side note:
The wife and I stayed at the in-laws Saturday night unplanned. Since we were not planning on staying over a night, I had no change of clothing and just got done roasting in 80 deg. weather all day. So I had one tee shirt in the car and felt it was better to wear that then my shirt from yesterday.
We stopped two places on the way home and opened carried both places. First a gas station for smokes, no weird looks or comments. Second Beltsville Beverage for a case for the games today (Miami lost ).
A the distributor I asked to be friendly how it was going and the response I received was "I'm nervous". I inquired why and was tolds "I'm not used to people carrying side arms". I again inquired why it would make him nervous and I could get no response so I thanked him and left.Last edited by Fraggle09027; September 23rd, 2007 at 07:55 PM.

Re: Concert at Hersheypark Arena
Hey,
Me and my family went to the same concert.
Perfect weather, just cool enough.
The venue is kinda beat, but I have to give them credit for having enough bathrooms, unlike the old JFK stadium at Philly which the Hershey Park stadium reminded me of.
As you have found out, they only looked in purses and fanny packs.
They did pat a couple of kids down that I saw, but not me..since I am a practically middled aged dude with two under 12's with me and my wife.
Hardly the picture of riotous behavior, what?
Concert was a good one, we left after a couple of songs from LIVE, since my youngest son was showing his 'inability to hang' from fatigue.
Getting in was a friggin nightmare, I must say. Parking sucked, and that one lane driveway through town was a torturous gridlock.

Anyone been to Hersheypark stadium more recently that 2007 that can comment on the security?
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

I was there last year, detectors and wands if necessary along with the standard purse search for ladies and backpack search.

Re: Concert at Hersheypark Arena
I saw the original Black Sabbath there in '99, does that count?
The security/parking dork yelled at me saying tailgating's not allowed, before my engine even stopped turning.

Well, certainly you can do that, never an issue.
