    Default Bought a SIG-Sauer P220 Today

Sold my XDm 40, and all it took was seeing/handling the P220 (well, and extra cash), to make up my mind. The 1911's on hold for now. Took the P220 to the range and love it.

Also, I had the pleasure of meeting Pizza Bob (http://forum.pafoa.org/members/pizza-bob/) at Tanner's, as I made my decision. Very knowledgeable gentleman, and it was a pleasure to have met him.

Nice, you'll love it. Mine hasn't seen much action lately, I'm on a 1911 sickness lately.

Looks nice is it new or used? Is that a srt trigger I see? A P220 is on my short list.

Thank you! It's new (just some oil residue on it from cleaning it today after the range visit). It's a 220R-45-B, so no - no SRT trigger. My 229 Elite has the SRT, and it's "like butter" (over-used expression, but it fits). Still, this is very nice.

Thanks very much. One trip to the range with it today. First impressions:

It feels great in the hand. A little thinner grip than the P229 Elite, but very comfortable. No SRT trigger as on the Elite, but it's good good action and feels very light. The sights are different than the P229 and my CZ. Not sure what to make of them. Near the end of today's range session (put about 150 rounds through it), I was doing OK with it, but it certainly sights differently than the P229 Elite. Prescription: Bring it with me every week and shoot it. I can't see it not becoming a favorite.

ETA, looks like you have Combat sights, white post on the rear and white dot on the front. i would swap them out for Trijicons or Meprolights

Thats not oil its Sig juice. My 229E leaked it the first 150 rounds.
If you don't mind me asking whats Tanners getting for a new 220? I bought my 229 Elite there and they by far had the best prices.

Don't mind you asking at all. The 220 was $739. I paid $919 for my P229 Elite (Tanner's as well) about 3 weeks ago. Yeah, I've gone Sig crazy.

Thanks. I'm sure I'll get used to the sights, but they certainly are different than (in my still limited experience) I'm accustomed to.
