Re: Help with Sig 220?
This 220 was fairly neglected looking when I got it-just dirty and didn't look like it was shot much at all. Just spent some elbow grease and found the Ebony grips from a guy on the Sig forum. It really is a great shooter and one of my best looking pieces.

You know what sucks? Now that I really want the gun the current owner isn't getting back to me. Hopefully I hear from him soon.

Re: Help with Sig 220?
I finally got in touch with the gentleman who is offering me the P220. He tells me the proof mark is a "p" in a circle below the chamber on the barrel lug. He also says that there is no date code. The slide says "Made in Germany" but it does say Exeter on the other side of the slide. So what does this mean?

I figure I'll get it. From what I've been told its hard to get a better full size .45.

Re: Help with Sig 220?
I'm sure you'll like it. The 220 is one of the best .45's made IMO.
Plus, on the practical side, any holster you buy for the 220 will fit the 226 that you're going to want next."It's hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."
