This. You can get a brass sorting setup to do most of the grunt work if you have truly a lot of brass and a continued supply from a range. Sorted and sold to a reloader it will be worth much more than as scrap. You may even be able to sell it unsorted to a reloader and get more than the scrap value for it. Scrapping it would be the easiest route if you don't have the time to sort and find buyers.

I sold mine this morning for 1.50 a pound. Bought food and ammo for some time at the range.

Instead of scraping it I once took a bucket to a place that sells reloads. I traded for some stuff he was selling and I’m sure he made out better than I did, but at least it stayed in circulation.

It was 1.25 two weeks ago, nice to see prices increasing. I'd like to resell some of it to reloaders but I can't be sure of once fired and won't be able to sell it as such. But I do have a guy who picks through, takes 9, .45 and .223 and in trade gives me 9mm reloads at whatever trade value he assumes. I trust him so I don't worry if I got jipped. Decent reloads too, always consistant.

Tony Guida if you can get him on the phone and no I don't give out his number but he pays the best. He probably wont deal with small amounts.

Remember in the scarp business its one gangster fking another so go with one guy and build a repor or your gonna get screwed and they all know each other.

Spring auto recyclers in spring prnj buys brass but he's a lunatic and I don't go to prnj.

Also Klein in somerville prnj but he's a theif.

theres a s-load of guys out there who buy non-ferrous metal. If anyone has catalytic converters they want to get rid of I won't ask any questions I could use the rhodium.

So what range might I expect to find brass selling for at Harrisburg scrappers? My kids are picking it up, and we're curious.

All non-roadable (.22's, berdan and stuff I have shot out) goes into the scrap bucket.

I use 2 yards, Weiner metals up in Pottsville and Pollocks in Reading. Last price was around $1.50. That was a while ago.

I have bought reloadable brass for $2 a pound, the stuff I don't reload I trade off.
