Closing classified ads

I had a classified ad listed, I followed the instructions to mark my thread closed now that my item has sold but I cannot figure out how to change the prefix to sold and have it say that the ad is closed etc...

edit the thread> go advanced> then change the prefix..at least this SHOULD work.

I can't figure out how to change the prefix.

I fixed it.

if you goof it up, and close it/lock it, only a mod can fix it.

simple process was explained above.

EDIT your ad by hitting the EDIT post button
hit the "go advanced." button on the text editing box.
change the "prefix" dropdown to "closed".

save.

done.

Okay, I must be really tired, I for the life of me can not find the little drop down prefix box to change the prefix....help please.

report the post you want closed, with a notation that you cant seem to close this ad.

Sorry...should have made my intentions more clear. I don't need to change it to sold just yet, I need to change it from trade to for sale/trade. Thanks.
