Re: Club membership without meeting attendence requirement?
I assume he was looking at Hopewell and Seitzland Rifle. Hopewell is a nice place btw, rangewise at least. I've been a guest there a few times, and even got to coon trap with a member 1 time. I was considering joining but I was told you have to do 60 hours of volunteer work per year as part of the requirement. I've got my parent's land to shoot at anyway, neighbors have never complained. I don't do any shooting more than maybe 1 session every 2 months or so.
LOL, I am a woman...

Re: Club membership without meeting attendence requirement?
Jefferson Sportsmen looks interesting and less than 1/2 hour away. Any members care to meet up and possibly sponsor. I see they have a multi use range too; plinking, hand thrown trap?
I can see I may have to bite the bullet and take a day off for a meeting to join a club.

Re: Club membership without meeting attendence requirement?
Jefferson Sportsmen is the jewel of southern York county. The best kept facility I have ever seen. They have an adopt a new member program for new members without sponsors. They also have something where if you work night shift you can write a letter and the board can vote you in without requiring you to attend a meeting. Visit their website for more information.

Re: Club membership without meeting attendence requirement?
I will definitely check into that. I didn't see anything about people on afternoons not having to attend a meeting but I will inquire about that.
I want to check out Seitzland as well. Both are close enough for me to go shoot a few rounds before I go to work.
Now I just gotta strip my yugo M48 and clean all the cosmoline out of it.

Re: Club membership without meeting attendence requirement?
OK, cross your fingers for me. I toured Jefferson Sportsman club Thursday. Really liked what I was shown and heard. The man sponsoring me is on the board as well, and my membership application was presented for a vote Thursday night.
