Club membership without meeting attendence requirement?
Are there any clubs around that don't require attending a meeting prior to approving you as a new member? I would like to join a club but they all seem to require attending a meeting. Since I work afternoons monday through friday that pretty much leaves me SOL. The only one I can seem to find is Freedom Armory.
Outside of a club, is there a place to shoot within about an hours drive of Shrewsbury?
I did find one place that looks promising, no meeting requirement listed and pretty much every shooting sport available except sporting clays Harrisburg Hunters' and Anglers' AssociationLast edited by thunderw0lf; April 9th, 2010 at 01:17 PM.

Well, you could take a day off, couldn't you ? Or a half day.
HH&A has trap and skeet. Do you mean they don't have sporting clays ? I attended a class there last summer. They have a great facility up there, but it's too far away to join as a member.

I would suggest: www.westshoresportsmen.org. Check out the site. If you
need a member to sponsor you, would be glad to help you out. Located
in Fairview Twp. York County, off I-83. You can apply and be accepted
without being present.FUNDAMENTALS

Only after I get a handgun and you come up here. I'm not gonna oc in MD. Any word on getting rid of the fired case on file for handguns there? I lived in Joppatown for about 5 years after moving from Michigan. I hated MD's politics and anti-gun agenda. I still work in Belcamp however.
I'm guessing your in Parkton?

Re: Club membership without meeting attendence requirement?
I'm not going to post any names on here, because I don't want to mess something up that I haven't even used yet...or ruin it for future people..
I recently joined a club in this area. I sent in my app. and had my sponsor listed. They mailed me my card, no paperwork or information.
I'm going to attend the next membership meeting anyway, but it would appear that at least one club doesn't require it. Get a sponsor to the club that interests you and see what happens.
After that, if you need to attend..is a 1/2 day off work worth a year's worth of shooting happiness?
