    As most of us know Anvil Arms went south. The creditors are now selling off the remaining inventory in order to satisfy the creditors. The auction is tomorrow ( Sat. 4/10 @ 10am EST) and the website is currently accepting bids. Attached below is the link.

    2400 rounds has to be shipped freight due to the weight.

    I'm guestimating dimensions, but it'd be about freight class 70 (it's probably higher though which means more expensive) or so I'm guessing.

    Approximate weight is about 165 pounds give or take 10.

    Based on that, shipping costs will be around $220 give or take a few $.

    If they can get the weight down to 150 or under, then it could be shipped UPS ground. Then it would be about $130.

    Not sure of FedEx rates. USPS won't ship anything over 70 pounds.

    EDIT: It might be possible for it to be 150 pounds. IIRC, an 880 round crate weighs 59 pounds. We know based on the auction description that they are using 2 crates. This isn't perfect, but assuming the weight of one of these crates when empty is effectively the same as the weight of the crate used to ship 880 rounds, then we could use the following formula:

    2.73(59-x) + 2x = 150
    161.07-0.73x = 150
    0.73x = 11.07

    So if an empty crate weighs about 15 pounds, one of these packages of 2400 rounds might weigh 150 pounds or less. That would save about $100 on shipping which is a very big deal obviously.

    Addendum: They said 2 crates. If they split it up into 2 packages, the shipping cost would be about $150 by UPS ground.

    EDIT EDIT: I had their zipcode wrong. It'd be about $125-$135 to ship here if split into 2 packages.

    Looks like there were some reserves on those lots that they didn't mention. None of the ammo sold for less than $300; all the ammo that had bids lower than $300 wasn't sold. Without shipping, $300 is a good price. Once you factor in the shipping costs, it become only slightly better than the average deals you find online every day.
