NRA instructor for what exactly?
Any vote for a third party is a vote for a Democrat. You are the enemy.

Re: BECOMING A NRA.INSTRUCTOR
I would encourage anyone interested to become an instructor. The instructor development courses that I have taken are top notch.

Re: BECOMING A NRA.INSTRUCTOR
Here is a direct link to the course being given in Milford.
http://forum.pafoa.org/training-cour...structors.html
If I am reading it right... there are two courses being offered at Milford. The one on May 2 is a prerequisite course where they teach you "how" to instruct people. Once you have this one under you belt it opens the door so you can become an instructor in the various disciplines, such as the May 23 Home Firearm safety Instructor course. The most common Instructor discipline is Pistol and Rifle which I recently became an NRA Certified Instructor in. I am taking the Black Powder Pistol course next weekend in NJ.
There are a lot of reason a person may want to become an NRA Certified Instructor. For me as it turns out, I am in a position where I am training people to shoot already on my property. I wanted to be sure I was teaching them the right way; I wanted some meaningful credentials from a well known and respected organization; and I wanted to be able to purchase Instructor Insurance through the NRA.
Here is all the courses you can become an instructor for:
Chief Range Safety Officer
NRA Home Firearm Safety Instructor Course
NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course
NRA Instructor Rifle Shooting Course
NRA Instructor Shotgun Shooting Course
NRA Instructor Personal Protection In The Home Course
NRA Instructor Personal Protection Outside The Home Course
NRA-NMLRA Instructor Muzzleloading Pistol Shooting Course
NRA-NMLRA Instructor Muzzleloading Rifle Shooting Course
NRA-NMLRA Instructor Muzzleloading Shotgun Shooting Course
NRA Instructor Metallic Cartridge Reloading Course
NRA Instructor Shotgun Shell Reloading Course

Re: BECOMING A NRA.INSTRUCTOR
THANKS Tsafa
for the reply, sorry for the delay.
NRA Certified instructors teach students the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe and proficient use of pistols, rifles, and shotguns, the basic instructor training or (BIT)class on the may 2nd is the first step in certification.
thank you.kingcor

Re: BECOMING A NRA.INSTRUCTOR
Does it help if you have just completed the range safety officer class? Got my certificate 1 month ago.

Re: BECOMING A NRA.INSTRUCTOR
It helps in your personal knowledge and I recommend it but it doesn't help in becoming an instructor. As previously mentioned, one has to first take the BIT class which is "Basic Instructor Training"
It's a great class and again like already mentioned, it "teaches you how to teach" - the NRA way. After completing that you can take any of the individual disciplines.
I recently became an NRA Instructor in Pistol.NRA Instructor/RSO
C.A.R. Instructor
Certified Glock Armorer
