Re: Outdoor Sportsmans Club Spring Show
It's like a large firehall show, generally in two fairground type buildings, all combined it is about the size of the Days Inn/Rodeway show in Allentown, maybe a bit smaller, and with only a couple-three larger multi-table dealers. Most of the exhibitors are the "private collector" guys that set up at show after show and deal only in rifles. The kind of for-profit small time guys without an FFL that the ATFE seems to ignore. Prices tend to be high, dealers seem to prefer lugging the same schit around to show after show. Maybe it takes the place of a health club membership, but eating gun show concession food negates any physical exercise benefits from setting up and tearing down.
Centre Hall is 1.5 hrs northwest of Harrisburg about four miles north of US 322, so that puts it about 3 hrs from you. I'm driving 2 hrs one way to go to it, but I don't know if I'd drive three hours for it unless I had the shakes for a show really bad. The entrance is off PA 45 just west of town going toward State College, and NOT from PA 144 in the center of Centre Hall.
