Question on Obtaining an FFL Transfer (Bucks County)

I'm thinking seriously about placing a bid for a pistol on Auction Arms.

My question is, since the auction goes off tomorrow, before I will have had a chance to check with a local dealer/transfer agent first, is it generally OK to solicit a transfer after making an online purchase?

Any recommendations along these lines among the following dealers:
Tanners Sport Center in Jamison, PA; Classic Pistol in Southampton, PA; Dell's in Mongomeryville, PA; and Pistol People in Bensalem?

You can win the bid but then you would have to notify an FFL in your area. That FFL will notify the FFL from where you purchased the firearm and the gun will be sent. The gun must be sent to the FFL - not you. The transfer would then take place at the FFL business. Hope that helps.

Tanners will be happy to complete your transfer but they charge 40 bucks.

Pistol People are the cheapest I was able to find at 30 bucks

Classic Pistol does transfers also but i think their fee is 50 bucks.

Call Abington Gun Sports in Willow Grove, they charged me 20 bucks for a transfer but that was a few years ago.

I'm not sure about Dell's but i think i've read that they do transfers.

There's a shop on 309N about 3-5 miles from Dells that does transfers for 40 bucks. i think the name is american arms and ammo.

American Arms and Ammo in Colmar is $35 for transfer.

Wellingtons in Souderton charges $20.

I'm not sure about all the FFLs listed, but Abington Gun Sports, who I've dealt with, differentiates between a transfer and an internet deal. A walk in FTF transfer is $20.00. For them to supply their FFL to the shipping FFL, receive the merchandise, and do the paperwork is $45.00.

C.D.I. is my shop. It's actually C.D.I. Custom Knife and Gun. I'm a gunsmith in Chalfont. I do the repairs for Lowe's Certified Guns in Sellersville and take on new business for C.D.I. that does not conflict with my contract with Lowe's.
