Re: Some people should not be allowed to own guns
Indeed, I don't know how you gentlemen shop for holsters, but I bring the gun and try them on. I ask permission in places I haven't shopped at before/don't shop at often and have encountered several different responses. Some say go ahead, some say no and some want to check the gun first.
If they say no, I holster shop somewhere else. No harm, no foul.Just because 'perfect' is impossible does not mean we should settle for 'broken'.

Re: Some people should not be allowed to own guns
Unlike most of the young guys who I know who carry guns to establish their civil rights and impress young women.
What a ass. I told him to holster the weapon, but he either ignored me, probably, or didn't hear me.Last edited by Wiley-X; April 8th, 2010 at 12:24 PM.

Re: Some people should not be allowed to own guns
i'm guilty. I've done this once. walk in with unloaded (with no mag) gun in my pocket, when i was my turn i took it out and rack the slide a few time in a safe direction then placed it on the table. Next time i'll make sure the slide is locked back before i walk in.
i just got back from Locks and they were repairing the floor by the door, apparently someone put a rd thru the floor.

Re: Some people should not be allowed to own guns
Guess its something you would have to see to judge. A few weeks back I took my new Taurus revolver to bobs and grice's in Clearfeild. Both places were jam packed, I wasnt about to wait for a salesperson. My Taurus was in the cardboard box it came in. I removed it from the box and tried it in several holsters at each place. In between each one I would put it back in the box. I did not open the cylinder and check the weapon, because I knew there were no bullets in it, as it was a new pistol and I hadnt bought any yet. Am I a douchebag?

Re: Some people should not be allowed to own guns
I completely disagree. Owning a firearm is indeed a right of all citizens (and those treated as such) of this great nation. There is also a great amount of responsibility that comes that comes with this right. If a person lacks responsibility they should lose the right to bear arms. I would rephrase your statement as "All responsible people should be able to own firearms".
