Form 4 Photo
I've looked and I can't seem to find an answer to this question:
Can I print a photo of myself on decent photo paper with my printer and call it a day? Or do I really need to go to a passport place and get them that way?
It just seems like it should be more "official" than a printout of a snapshot from my Blackberry, but if it works, I'm not going to go through the added migraine of doing it "officially."

Re: Form 4 Photo
My form didn't have the instructions on it, so Googling came up with the instructional form which says, specifically:
Photographs and Fingerprints. An individual transferee, except if
licensed as a manufacturer, importer, or dealer under the GCA, must (1)attach
to Item 16, a 2 inch x 2 inch photograph of the frontal view of the transferee
taken within 6 months prior to the date of the application and (2) attach two
properly completed FBI Forms FD-258 (Fingerprint Card with blue lines) to
the application. The fingerprints must be clear for accurate classification and
taken by someone properly equipped to take them.

You can always go to a Walgreens or something like that, they do the passport photo thing real cheap.

$8 without a coupon at CVS. $6 with a coupon at CVS for a set of 6 plus my 10 minutes of waiting for developing.
I noticed the clerk behind the counter made adjustments on the size of my photograph based on facial/cranial landmarks, if that makes any difference to the validity of a "passport" photo. Also remember not to show teeth in the photograph.
CVS Coupon for $2 off:

Re: Form 4 Photo
I've gone to AAA for all but my first Form 4 Passport Style pictures.
The first one was from a Camera Store that did it as a side.

Re: Form 4 Photo
My dealer takes my pic and then prints it on a sticker, and just sticks it to the form 4 in the right spot. Works great, and the ATF seems to be ok with it, it's never been an issue.
