Re: The Ultimate Gnarly Black Rifle
love the gun....how do you like the beta mag? ive seen the KCI(?) knock offs for like $130-150. i think they look mean as anything, but do they actually function?

Re: The Ultimate Gnarly Black Rifle
very nice! two questions though.
1) why an acog on a CQB type of rifle? wouldnt an eotech or aimpoint suit it better?
2) when's the registered lower coming to join the fun, those beta mags BEG for FA
very nice setup!"you cant fight zombies with good intentions"

Re: The Ultimate Gnarly Black Rifle
I haven't had a problem with mine so far. Honestly I use the magpuls more often because the Beta's heavy and I'm small so holding it gets to be a pain.
I did change the setup recently. I took off the crimson trace grip (now for sale) and put on a bipod, which I couldn't do before. I have a separate laser with a pressure switch on a standard vertical front grip and I'm waiting for a flashlight to come. Probably the SureFire G2 with the tailcap button switch.
With the bipod now I can use the Beta more often without the fatigue factor. No real feed problems. I think the stories of that comes from using steel-cased ammo or a general lack of maintenance (you have to lubricate it with graphite occasionally).Never, never, NEVER talk to the police. Ever.

Re: The Ultimate Gnarly Black Rifle
1) Well, the TA31DOC has the red dot reflex site on top of the scope above the eyepiece (the cover's over it in the pictures), which pretty much functions like an unmagnified EOTech. That's why I got the DOC model instead of the regular ACOG. I was really up in the air trying to choose between Aimpoint and Trijicon, but with the DOC site, I figure I have the best of both worlds, and I can always switch it to another rifle if I want.
2)ah, I wish I don't have the money for FA at the moment, but it's on my long term list. That, and once I start reloading my own ammo.Never, never, NEVER talk to the police. Ever.
