I've heard it from the commissioners and officers so theres no doubt in my mind, from an online forum point of view it stinks of bullsh*t though..

I don't want to be picky, but let me get this straight.

They imported coyotes to curb the deer population.
You can't hunt in the city, so they brought coyotes in to curb deer population?
Meaning there are coyotes in the city?

i'm not in the city, i'm about a 15min drive north by highway. Including my plot and a few neighbors theres about 18acres of woods just right here, and plenty more all over the township. But just nowhere where your far enough from a house or road I guess, I don't know the exact reason I just know you can't hunt here.

    Ok, now I understand.
If you have deer in your yard, wouldn't it be safe to say that the coyotes would follow the food source? Meaning coyotes in your yard? I hope they like corn.

i've never seen one, but they'd have to cross a shitload of roads to get to my place from where they where released.

    Thats comforting, I think
I know my folks in CA are infested with coyotes. They walk around like stray dogs.

    Hey XD45,
i keep hearing the stories, but never see any proof.
I am not questioning you personally.
But with all the technology ,no one has any proof.

I've been thinking about this premise that the PGC has released mtn lions and I keep concluding that it is absurd.

    WHY would they do it?
Too many deer? Hmmm, great opportunity to sell more tags which equals greater revenue for the PGC.
Import Mtn lion which equals nothing in terms of gain for the PGC. Not to mention no predictable success in maintaining deer herd size.

Makes less than no sense. It's counter productive.

On top of that is the fact that this rumor has been around for decades! Yet the bodies are still oddly missing.

PS: Before anyone who claims to have seen a mtn lion in PA accuses me of calling them a liar please understand I am not. I may doubt you saw what you think you saw, but that's about it. If you believe you saw a mtn lion then you believe it. I'm not accusing anyone of lying.

I agree you'd think one would get hit by a car, eat little red riding hood, or something along those lines. I'm gonna try to get more information on this hopefully next time I see one of the folks I previously talk to see if i can find out where they got them from, was it state funded or just the local politicians idea ect ect...
