    Default Losing post count

Why is my post count counting backwards?

I lost a good number from the post count when the system was rotzted up. I assumed the number would eventually be returned to normal. This has not happened. I just noticed that the number continues to drop. Soon it will be reading negative numbers.

    Whats going on?

    Will this ever be corrected?

Will the post count ever be done away with?

For the record I lost about 4000 post, maybe 4500.

I'm aware of the issue. It has nothing to do with not caring, fixing it is just very, very low on the list of priorities right now due to all of the other responsibilities.

Between trying to fix some of the other issues on the forum and organizing for the Harrisburg rally, post counts and reputation numbers sadly aren't that important in the grand scheme of things.

Sadly there's only so many hours I can spend working on PAFOA a week, I wish I could do more!

I agree, it is comforting but it's just 'net rep

    DANP

Are there forums that issue post credit and some that do not (the lounge)?

I moderate another VB site and when I move threads/posts from one spot to another, a person loses credit.

Also happens when I delete threads/posts too.

This is definitely part of it, but a about a month ago we accidentally moved A LOT (like 70k) threads around by mistake. After that things seemed to get a little wonky.

It's still on my list of things to look into, there's just a lot of higher priorities right now unfortunately.
