Default Went to Tanners to look at/?buy? an SR9c...

    ...came home with an XD-9sc.

It was used, but like new (no visible marks on it AT ALL) included the 13 round short mag and 17 round full-size mag, box, crappy plastic holster, lock and some cleaning tools. The only thing I think was missing from the original kit was the mag holder, which I would never use anyway (carrying 14 rounds in the gun is good. enough. for me.) ...

    ...$379 plus pics and tax.

I just love the fact that I can keep this gun for a year, and then if i decide I want something different, turn around and sell it for pretty much the same I paid for it. I went straight to the range and put a 100 rounds of Winchester white box through it, no hiccups, dead accurate.

Back when I was trying to decide what carry gun to get, I was interested in, but then kinda ruled out the XDs, because of the high bore axis and the fact that they seem a bit chunky. But shooting this gun is easy, and follow up shots are far better than my much bigger Stouger 9mm (which I also love, especially considering the price), and it is very easy to carry.

Still need a holster for it, (today, I just tucked it in my waistband without a holster, unloaded, mainly because I didn't want to leave it in my car while running some errands on the way home from the store).

I'm thinking about getting a Crossbreed Quikclip, or Supertuck, but leaning toward the QC, since it's easier to get on and off, and I don't carry for long periods at a time.

So that's it. Now I just have my eye on that new S&W .380 for those hot summer days.

You made the better choice imo.

    Yeah, probably.

The xd is a bit heavier, but otherwise better all around.
