They didn’t make me put my ssn on the application. There was a box that said it was "optional" and I always put my ssn on the applications when I purchase a firearm. What’s the difference if my ssn is on the application or not?

I'll admit when I'm wrong, and I did misread your posts.

Happens to all of us at some point, it's cool.

I'd say providing the SSN helps prevent false positives. I checked one time a few years ago, there are actually several thousand people in the country with my name. But only me has that SSN.

The sheriff called my employer for employment verification. Good thing?

No, bad. Employment has nothing to do with being eligible for a LTCF. and depending on exactly what the sheriff said to the employer...he may have committed a crime:

(3.1) Any person, licensed dealer, licensed manufacturer or licensed importer who knowingly and intentionally obtains or furnishes information collected or maintained pursuant to section 6109 for any purpose other than compliance with this chapter or who knowingly or intentionally disseminates, publishes or otherwise makes available such information to any person other than the subject of the information commits a felony of the third degree.

Just an update to whoever cares, I received my LTCF on wed the 14th. Took a total of 21 days. I carried my Kahr cw9 in a cheap IWB passport holster to the range on Thursday. However I really want to carry my Glock19. Just waiting for the paycheck to buy a good holster for that.

If you plan on carrying concealed look at the Crossbreed Supertuck IWB holster. I only know one person who didn't like that holster but then again he doesn't like much.

Most everyone else I know has loved it. I'll be picking one up after a couple of paychecks from this new job.

Yes, I definitely wanted to look into that holster. I’m not a picky guy though. How’s the new job treating you?

On my first day there Joe Biden showed up and jammed everything up twice. The second day (today) I got a parking ticket

So overall an interesting start to the new job. Lol.

(The cop that gave me the ticket took care of it seeing as I'm a new employee with no parking pass yet and no clue where to park )

Wow, that sounds like a very eventful start to new employment  I’m also glad the LEO took care of your parking ticket! I will keep you updated on the holster. Is there anywhere I can check out the holster in person or just online? Let me know.
