    Default Why Revolvers?

I have both revolvers and semi-autos. For many different reasons, I far and above prefer my semi-autos for shooting and carrying. I am curious why some people prefer revolvers over semi-autos (understanding this is a personal prefrerence). What allure do you see in wheel guns?

Revolvers never have a failure to feed, or stove pipe.

Also less moving parts. Less things to fail.

Personally, I like revolvers. I don't carry one, mainly because I prefer a slim semi.

not quite true, look at the inner workings of a revolver and your see how many parts it actually needs to opperate.

    Why not?

Less slop --> sights are always aligned with barrel unless physically knocked ajar.

I dont need 15rds or more to do the job. The first one will do it, the other 4 or 5 are for stopping their flinching and nervous spasms.

Ergonomics - revolvers usually fit a hand better.

Less complicated - as simple as point and click.

Have you ever been in a life or death shooting? MANY experienced shooters have required far more than 5 shots to stop a threat.

Ergonomics - revolvers usually fit a hand better.
I don't think that's true for everyone. I've found more semi's fit in my hand compared to revolvers.

6 rounds of 250 grain slugs in the neighborhood of 1400fps, or 300 grains just under 1200fps are enough for my use.

That being said, I carry a semiautomatic the majority of the time.

I hope you are using "usually" as an extremely loose term. For me, every single time I pick up a revolver to fire it, I feel as if I'm going to shoot at my toes. It just doesn't feel right to me.
