Places to shoot in Adams Co. (never been to an actual public range)
Hello folks, I was hoping some of you might be able to help. Can you recommend a good range in Adams County?
Also, I have a really elementary level question: I have never been to an actual public shooting range. All of my previous shooting practice has occured at my friends' farms and wooded properties. So basically I am a "range virgin" so to speak. What happens once I get there?
Again, I know this sounds like a very silly question but please humor me!

ACSHA has a nice range. The people are great and membership is inexpensive. There is also the rance in Micheaux which is free, but nowhere near as nice. You have to get a permit from the DCNR before using this one.
I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy. Hippie and 3%er.

Hey Glock, I just moved up to Hanover in May and joined the ACSHA, nice facilities and a friendly group of folks. As others said, a club is 10x better than a public range, up here your club fees are MINIMAL, I paid over $400 a year in the "dena" in Maryland. I've only been to the public ranges up here once with my wife's sister's ex (well, he wasn't the ex then) not too bad but its public and you never know.
Porsche, there is no substitute
