    Default colt series 80 goverment

My Colt Gvt seems to have a hard time ejecting a spent round and also has trouble feeding. Is this a spring issue?

Did you try a different magazine? My Officers Double Eagle acts funny with one of my Magazines.

Get a glock or keep adding parts. You cant fix stupid.

Unless you have a super heavy recoil spring in the gun- it's probably not a spring issue. If you are in Sellersville, you can bring it by the shop (Lowe's Certified Guns, on Bethlehem Pike) and I'll have a look at it.

My STI has fewer failures than my Glock and it has close to 40K on it.

We could benefit from a better explanation of what the feed and ejection problems look like.

    quick check and clean time...

remove the firing pin and the extractor.

clean out thouroughly the firing pin hole and the extractor hole.

    this takes 3 hands lol....

as you are pushing the firing pin forward to remove the firing pin retainer plate, push down on the detent that disengages the firing pin safety.. it looks like a small button and is on the same track as the firing pin.

inspect the extractor,,, look for either it to be broken or check the extractor rim for burrs, breaks or high spots.

if you see any of this then the extractor is broken.

if not the extrator then a detailed explination of the stoppage would help in further troubleshooting.
    gotta love her ;)
