Default 1000 rounds in 11 minutes?

As an NRA member, I get there America's 1st Freedom magazine. Now, in the April issue, page 59, they have a picture of Todd Jarretts Para 1911 SSP, which says that with it he shot 1000 rounds in under 11 minutes. Is that even possible? Or is it just a misprint?

I will look for the you tube videos. I did save them, so I have them at home.

    11 minutes!
Lets see, how long does it take me to reload 1000 rounds? If I count the time it takes me to get off my lazy butt & start, we're talking months.

yep. very possible. in fact, the "1,000 rounds non-stop" thing is a regular feature in many pistol "torture tests".

if you don't worry too much about how accurate you are, popping off 100 rounds per minute is not difficult.

of course, if you are todd jarrett, you can shoot that fast and put them all in the A zone...

They are nice. Have a pair of them LDA(s) 45 & 9. Carry the 45. Waiting on the GI45SS to come out. Already have an order in for one.

I saw this; the people loading could hardly keep up near the end. Even though they had a head start. If i remember right the goal was to shoot 1000 rounds as fast as possible.
