Default Anyone a member at Atglen or West Caln sportmens club?

Looking to possibly join one or the other, both are about the same distance from me and i was looking for a bit of personal experience with these places. Any suggestions/advice/insight is welcome.

Search this site for "atglen". It's like drinking from a hydrant. A few posts:

Gloria: "65 percent of the people murdered in the last 10 years were killed by hand guns"
Archie Bunker: "would it make you feel better, little girl, if they was pushed outta windows?"

I'm a new member at Atglen and I enjoy going. I'll answer any specific questions you have if they aren't answered by PA Rifleman's references.

I'm in my second year of membership at Atglen so I consider myself a new member. So far it is a great place to target shoot. The one thing that I like about the organization is that they do not require a rangemaster to be present to shoot. They trust that you will not be stupid and shoot the place up as has happened at other clubs in the area. They also have organized shoots as well as cutting you loose to shoot by yourself. The rifle rage is awesome to use and they have the skeet and trap range if you are into that. I looked at West Caln and decided to join Atglen and feel that I made the correct choice.

Atglen's highpower range has a roof over the shooting benches and is well worth the price of admission for those wishing to shoot beyond the usual 100 yards. You can comfortably shoot in the rain if needed. Of course, you must be willing to walk a bit in the mud to post/retrieve targets.

Actually, Professor, as I recall, all Atglen's ranges are covered. Don't know how much success you'll have calling the Clubhouse number, but check out the web site for meeting information. (Basically, they'd like to see you first.) There is also contact information there for the membership honcho. www.atglensportsmensclub.org/
