Re: Bucks County Fish and Game
Sure. I took a shooting class just on friday, and the people their are extremely friendly and nice.
Yes, they do hunt. They also do trapshooting and fishing and stuff like that.
They have been leasing the 20 acre property since 1894.
I got a family membership which was $250 dollars.
Its in doylestown."If the individual can govern himself, all external government is tyranny" - Benjamin Tucker.

One shot every six seconds or so I've been told. If that type of restriction matters to you you might want to look elsewhere.

They don't have a sense of humber about rapid fire, but it isn't quite that bad. You are supposed to wait a couple seconds between rounds. There are houses pretty close and they are trying not to overly annoy the neighbors was the reason I was told for the rule.
It's a decent range with lot's of options for traditional paper target type shooting as well as trap. Generally most people I've met there are friendly. I belong there, but usually only go a few times a year.
It's usually not too full later workday afternoons when I usually go. Weekends can get pretty full. They have a fairly active calendar of various shooting activities, though I've never had time to partake in them.

I have been a member there for a few months and everyone is really friendly. I very much enjoy shooting and BSing with all of the guys up there. I would highly recommend anyone to join.

My experience has been similar...shot trap only, so far, they schedule a CMP shoot (intro with qualification process allowing CMP purchase) first Saturday of each month; Board meets mid-month, membership meets fourth thursday each month (I think); trap throwers are voice activated, birds are$5 for 25...recommend checking out their website and use the info email address they're pretty responsive...http://www.bcfg.org
See you there

Re: Bucks County Fish and Game
I shot one time only at Bucks Fish and Game, had a negative run-in with an over-zealous RSO, and have never been back. Basically, I was shooting an AK. Being well-aware of the 5 or 6 second rule between shots, I would fire, count to five VERY slowly (1 mississippi...2 mississippi...basically more like 6 or 7 seconds between shots), and had an RSO come over, loud and arrogant, and carrying on about rapid firing. I packed my gear and left.
Paletown is $15 a year for the first year, $10 a year after that, is 20 minutes past Bucks Fish and Game, has no loud and arrogant RSOs, the ranges are always empty, and if you get the urge, you can even rapid fire some without being hollered at. Unfortunately, we only accept members once a year, and you missed that opportunity for this year.
