Re: Anyone have any info on High Standard 1911 compact .45
Unless something has changed in the last few years, they are made by ARMSCOR in the Phillipines.
I had a Rock Island compact, made by ARMSCOR, and after some feedramp polishing, it was a decent gun, not great, and not 100%, also not a target gun by any means, but that is to be expected from a compact with a low price tag.
If the High Standard is the same thing, it should be OK, but not for that price, I see Phillipine 1911's at shows for $350ish all the time and there is a new on on gunbroker right now for $465, http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=161576079
