I forgot to tell everyone about the Jan 16 Letter to the Scranton Times I saw last week.

Re: New Public Range in Danger of Close?
Wow! Look what came into my mailbox about the NY Gun Rights Rally.
http://www.tactical-life.com/online/...or-our-rights/
The range developer wrote it. Powerful story. I sure hope PA does not fall to the anti gunners as NY seems to have.

Re: New Public Range in Danger of Close?
Got this note from the range developer tonight:
Hello, Lady:
You and your friends need to call Pat Toomey NOW and tell him to oppose any compromise gun control legislation. His number is (202)
224-4254 and in Scranton (570) 941-3540.
CALL BOTH NUMBERS!
Check out this article. http://news.yahoo.com/showdown-gun-c...-politics.html
Toomey is being pressured by that SOB Mike Bloomberg who is running ads telling PA residents to call him. YOU NEED TO MOBILIZE TO DO THE SAME!
Do not trust your freedom to counting on the "other guy" to call. You need to take action yourself!
I am making calls tomorrow and the next few days. We need to stop Bloomberg's non-sense.

Re: New Public Range in Danger of Close?
This is the only thing I could find. http://theabingtonjournal.com/news/n...te=abingtonart
I e-mailed the developer and he told me the range is on the next supervisor's meeting agenda next week. The range needs some issues answered so they know how to proceed.
Here's an interesting article he wrote. I just received my hard copy by mail. A partial article is here. http://www.tactical-life.com/guns-an...uto-firestorm/
I know he has all sorts of training certifications and intends to bring some really neat classes to us!

Wow. Just wow.
I came across this from October 2012... gives some additional insight as to what is / was going on with progress:

And this on a local chat board:
"davidk" appears to be one of the cantankerous neighbors:

NOT IN MY BACK YARD, NOT IN MY BACK YARD, NOT IN MY BACK YARD, the cry heard all throughout Ransom Township.
DELAY, DELAY, DELAY, is the new buzz word of the Planning Commission.Government 99 and 44/100 % pure bullshit.
