    Ok,

Read all the negative and all the positive info and reviews.....decided to get Mossy 930 SPX.

Need a good sling, light, etc......ie what brands and where to get?

What ammo should I use? Most reviews said heavy loads.....

To be a fair, you do not need accessories with such a fine shotgun. The best addition would be a light, and that is all. There is all kinds of bolt/snap on plastic crap from China that does nothing to make it a more effective weapon.

As for ammo, that is an interesting question. You really should test all kinds of ammo and shoot the shotgun extensively (while practicing reload drills, malfunction drills and general proper handling like the low ready) to make sure it works the way it should. After a few hundred rounds, pick a load or three and be happy.

It really is hard to improve on a weapon that spits out 1+ ounces of lead with a pull of the trigger and is virtually a death ray within 15 meters. The shotgun is the ultimate in close quarters lethality...

light- any surefire light will handle a 12 gauge, even the little X300's (that's what I got)

sling- any old thing will do. nice to have for the range/hunting, but not really needed for home defense.

ammo- I use Federal Low Recoil 00 Buck loaded up with some Slugs on the gun in a shell holder for HD. For range ammo go to Walmart and pick up a 100 round pack of Winchester or Federal shells and have fun busting some clays. Last time I checked they were only $20. While you're there you could probably find a sling for about $15 too.
