Default Any thoughts on Island Firearms?

I've never been there BUT I understand they have quite a selection and good prices. Looking for people who frequent the store or have any experience there to give me their opinions. Thanks!

I did a transfer there once but didn't buy anything. While not a model of neatness the shop had a decent selection and I overheard the owner interact with several customers. He certainly didn't try to BS them and seemed to have decent knowledge. I would have no problem buying from him.

I've done several transfers with Wayne (owner of Island) and bought a Dan Wesson 44 from him. He might come across as gruff at first but he's a helluva guy. Doesn't give you attitude, tells you the truth and has an interesting variety for a small shop. You never know what's going to show up in there so it's worth stopping by often. You can't easily see all the long guns hidden away behind the counter so don't be afraid to ask if you're looking for something particular. Prices aren't spectacular but nowhere in the area has exceptional pricing IMO.

Was only there once, but Ace in Washington has a bigger selection- (bigger store). Wayne's is not too bad for the size of the store.

Bought several guns from Wayne. He has a pretty good selection. I feel I paid a fair price and that's good standard to meet IMHO.

Thumbs up Re: Any thoughts on Island Firearms?

Completed a transfer there a couple weeks ago $20.00 plus tax. Decent selection and prices. Friendly service even though they were pretty busy on a saturday.
