All throughout American history, the Rifleman has been defined as a marksman capable of hitting targets from 500 yards away! This 500-yard range is traditionally known as "the rifleman's quarter-mile." A rifleman can hit just about any target he can see.

Learn the “Six steps to firing the shot.” Learn correct firing positions and proper use of the sling.

Hear some little-known Revolutionary War history and reaffirm your heritage.
Become a more influential citizen and make America a better place.

Walk-on fees are $80.00 for both days, or $50.00 for one day.
Pre-register and pay online at www.appleseedinfo.org, and save! $70.00 for both days, or $45.00 for one day.
Shooters under 21, active military (including reserves and guard), and women shoot for FREE!

    Default Why should I come?

    Why should you come?

Well, for one thing, to see what this Appleseed stuff is all about. To find out why one well-known gun writer who was there said, "this is going to be the next big thing that nobody saw coming."

    Another reason...

To learn to shoot a rifle — to learn to shoot it just as well as your forefathers.

    Another reason...

To hear The Story that every American should hear. About how your forebears took up arms, on the first day of the American Revolution, and did things no other people in the world have ever done. To learn things you don't learn in school, about that day. About where the Revolution really started — it did not start in Lexington, nor did it start in Concord. According to John Adams, it was over before it started. Be there to hear The Story, because to hear it is to remember what they did, that day. And to remember, is to honor them for doing it.

    Another reason...

To gather new hope for the future. To see Americans — volunteer Americans — not sitting around complaining: no sir, out doing something about it — like saving their country, one person at a time.

    Another reason...

To meet fellow Americans who feel like you do, and to bathe in an association with real Americans that is lacking in your everyday life. So you'll go back home rejuvenated - and maybe with hope for the future, for the first time in years.

    Another reason...

To qualify to purchase an M1 Garand — still one of the world's finest battle rifles — and a true piece of American history...direct from the Civilian Marksmanship Program for a price several hundred dollars under market.

Default Appleseed is free to some people

Several groups may attend Appleseed Project events at no charge. Women, Children under 21, Active Military, and Elected Officials attend for FREE. Why? It's simple.

America needs these folks to understand their Founding Principles the most.

The Appleseed Project believes that we have a duty to pass on America's Traditions and Heritage to future generations in better shape than they were transmitted to us. John Adams surveyed the carnage that resulted from the Battles of Lexington and Concord and wrote: "Posterity, you will never know the sacrifices the founding generation made to secure your freedom. If you should ever forget it, I will repent in heaven for making the effort." President Adams worked tirelessly the rest of his life to ensure his Posterity would remember why our country was founded. We are duty bound to our Posterity to do the same.

It is an absolute joy seeing entire families at Appleseed events. Nothing brightens the day and adds to the fun filled and friendly atmosphere like a beaming Junior Shooter that has successfully taken the safety and marksmanship lessons to heart... and has the targets to prove it! But a word of caution, Dad ---- We find that the ladies who attend Appleseeds will more than likely leave with better scores than you. But more importantly, they will leave with a better understanding of what it takes to preserve our nation's Liberty and Founding Principles.

The brave men and women that make up the ranks of the Active Military (including Reserve and National Guard) are also invited as our honored guests to attend for free. For over two hundred years, Americans have stood up, taken leave of their homes and families, and defended our country's freedom on our behalf. From the very first citizen soldiers in Lexington and Concord... to the men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan today, every American owes you a debt of gratitude. Thank you for your service, and I look forward to shaking your hand at an Appleseed event.

Finally, elected officials attend for free. As a representative of the people, a nearby Appleseed event is the perfect venue for you to get to know your constituents and join them in a time honored American tradition - Marksmanship.
