I love mine, and shoot it weekly in indoor Bullseye. CCI standard velocity has been the best ammo from mine to date. Federal target is a close second. Mine HATED Winchester Super X to the point it actually was keyholing at 15 yards. Break it in and get the Volquartsen kit. You won't believe what a 2.5# trigger and no creep or overtravel in the trigger will do to this little monster. I recently added a red dot and from sand bags, can get a ragged hole ten shot group at fifty feet.

I love my Mk III - volquartzen internal kit (minus the hammer, was getting too many light strikes) and a burris fastfire II to replace the sights.

    Congratulations on your new pistol.
I'm a big fan of the Ruger MK series pistols, as it was my first gun.

Congrats, I have the same model and love it. It isnt to hard to take them down, lots of people I know don't even take thiers down, they just spray the thing out and let it air dry.

    <shrugs> whatever works.

My first training session was on a Mark III BN, very accurate and fun to shoot. Congrats!

Well, here are the pics. Unfortunately they're horrible because I took them all with my cell phone.

The holy target is just my first few mags at 10 yards offhand. It took me a little while to get used to the sights. The other target is offhand at 25 yards. Not too shabby for my first time firing it. I shot 500 rounds through it yesterday without a hitch, maybe 3 duds in 500 Thunderbolts. Getting ready to go again right now actually.

Nice start and it just keeps getting better and better.
Once you make it YOUR GUN with a trigger job, scope or different sights, grips ect. you will find yourself going for the 10 shots thru the same hole challenge.

Your doomed i tell ya, doomed.

3 duds out of 500? Compared to what my dad's MKIII was doing, that is impressive. His wouldn't fire 1 out of every 20. Didn't have a problem with any of the other bulk packs.

Worked out for me though, my savage loooves the Thunderbolts, so I inherited them.
