Default Walnut Creek Rifle Club is NOT closing

I learned recently that many people are under the impression that Walnut Creek Rifle Club will be closing due to changes in the landscape next to the club property. This is not the case. Please dis-spell any rumors that you may hear to the contrary.
    Thanks,
    Jules

I did hear some discussion on that at a Christmas party. Good to hear they're staying open.

I heard that rumor too, I said that was highly unlikely.

It was on the news awhile back about them using all that fill for either the runway project or the walmart project...I don't recall which...or maybe both.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!! I need to take a ride out that way. On the plus side, it looks like you'll have some longer ranges!!!!

The rifle range backstop is in tact and safe.

It may be in tact but every time I've been there since summer you couldnt shoot. I can't get there on weekends.

They say you can't shoot on the rifle range when workers can be "seen" atop the hill. You can not see them anymore. For the past two weeks I have been going the workers are there but everyone seems to be using the rifle range.

Are the 25 and 50 yard targets useable? I need to zero a new scope, I might be able to do it at 100 but it takes less ammo if I start short.
