Just so you know, Hi-cap 9 mils are heavy- not because of the gun (especially in polymer pistols) but due to the bullets. lead is heavy! My first pistol was a Colt combat commander, - I wanted more shots in case of "undead zombie biker gangs" traded for a Glock 17 which I still have and love after 20+ years - but my everyday carry piece is a kel-tec 32. if you carry 2 double stacked 9mm mags and the gun, you are toting a lot of lead- the UPSIDE is you are carrying a LOT OF LEAD! good luck with whatever pistol you choose, find one that fits YOUR hand and that you are comfortable with. My vote is Glock. Cb

I started shooting with a Glock 19. I liked it alot.

I have shot a S&W M&P 9 and like that alot as well.

I have also shot an XD 9 and did not like it, but I loved the XDM.

I have also shot a Sig 226 in 9mm and it was ok (still not used to the DA/SA trigger).

Out of these, for Hi Cap purposes, I would go with either the Glock, S&W or the XDM. You should get to a range and see if they have some to rent and shoot the crap out of the them and see what YOU like the best and go from there.

    IMO it's a club.

There are other hi-cap 9mm pistols that are more ergonomic, IMO.

ruger sr9. I dont have one, but i want one bad. 17+1 in a very thin, light, and ergonomic polymer pistol...You could conceal carry one all day and not even notice probably.

plus its like 450 brand new lol

also Glock 17/19 for obvious reasons of awesomeness
also FNP9...basically same as the ruger sr9, maybe a high quality for the same price or a tad higher.

A Luger with a 50rnd. drum mag. Might be a little over 600 though. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/media/cat...-05_4_mark.jpg
Glocks have the big mags. 33rnds. Kind of hard to conceal. You could use the loaded mag as a club.
Oops..... that's a paint ball gun, but you get the idea
