Some might say you should have gotten a flat-top, rails, fore grips, etc. but to my mind a "plain ol' A2" with fixed carry handle is a thing of beauty.

Great KISS gun! I agree, if you're going to go long with the A2, keep the carry handle. A quad rail with a couple pounds of junk hanging off it is impractical with the length and weight ratio anyway.

    Classy!

It's nice to see a rifle without all that nonsense sprouting out of it for a change.

I have a flat top M4gery (RRA kit w/Anvil Arms lower), and I love it, but if I ever get to build another, I may get one with a carry handle for an iron sights only/SHTF gun.

Thanks, I love the classic look. I had to swap out the grip, the notch in the standard grip is in just the wrong place for my sausage fingers. I'm not a suburban commando, I don't need $1000 scopes or lasers, I'm not a SEAL and never could be. I just learned how to use the iron sights well, if you're not accurate enough with those, use a bolt rifle with a scope. They're designed for them......

That looks nice. I want to build one like that someday, but with the old school triangle handguards.

Very nice! The A2 stock, rifle length handguards and carry handle really do it. Nice and clean.
