Hunter's Education Classes
Anyone have young ones going to Hunter's Ed this year? I just registered my two boys for a June class.
Wondering a couple things...do they need rifles for the class and is there any charge for the classes?

Re: Hunter's Education Classes
never heard of one needing rifles to go... not sure about the charge
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

My fiancee' and I took the first part of a Hunter's Ed course last night. No rifles needed, and no charge.

No rifles and no charge.

No rifles needed as there is no shooting involved.

Re: Hunter's Education Classes
My son is registered for the class that's being held the 26th and 27th of this month at a club in Paradise PA.....The club I belong to (Atglen) is sponsoring the online course, but not until August. I didn't get wind of that until after I had already signed my son up. That's fine as I'd rather him do a real class being taught by a real person. I think he'll get more out of it than sitting in front of a computer....
Our class is 3 hours on Friday night, then 8 hours the next day. Lunch is included but no charge otherwise.Last edited by Poonie; March 19th, 2010 at 09:45 AM.

Re: Hunter's Education Classes
When I took my course years ago, we had it at the local gunclub. So on the final day, we could bring our shotguns along and shoot trap after. But that's about the only thing you would really need a rifle/shotgun for. But they will tell you that at the beginning if need be.
Good luck!III%
