    Default My Tack Driver likes it's new handloads

    took my Tack Driver out to test some new handloads out.

    they are:
    .300 Win Mag
    180 Grain Match Kings
    73 grains of H4831
    case length 2.6195
    OAL 3.410
    Muzzle Velocity 2950

    and

    .300 Win Mag
    180 grain Game Kings
    72 grains H4831
    case length 2.6195
    OAL 3.390
    Muzzle Velocity 2920

    Rifle:


    100 yards, 5 shots each:


    200 yards, 5 shots each:

    nice shootin tex..

    i put my vari-x 3 (25 power) on my .17, damn thing is a lot of fun to shoot, but i bet you get more satisfaction out of that 300.

    accurate rifles are fun to shoot BTW, that rifle looks pretty damn cool

    Very nice shooting... it certainly does like those 180 grainers... how far do you plan on shooting with it? Have you considered using some of the heavier matchkings with better BCs (IE: 190-210gr range)?

    i had thought about that, but i like running 180s in it. i am hoping to extend the range out to 1000+ yards. i have a nice Ballistics Program that gave me dope out to 1400 yards, so far out to 400 it has been dead on with what the program gave me.

    Wow, very nice. Accuracy is the one thing that makes me want to get into hand loading.

    Its a shame you only shot it at 200... if only there was a Pittsburgh area range that went out to 600+...

    I'm a member at two ranges and neither have "longer" ranges.
