    Default AK SHORTY

New build I just finished this afternoon, This started life as a early 80's matching parts kit, Used the 74 front end parts shortened everything up and took the barrel to 9.5 inches and has custom made pbs1 to get it over legal limit. Pinned and welded the extension. Wood has been shortened and fit to fit the shorter front end. Took the standard spuds receiver and modified for the underfolder stock and used a Romanian Rear trunion. This is a few pics before I strip it all back down to media blast and re-parkerize next week. I wanted a Krinkov but couldn't see spending 800 for the kit . (I had 4 of them and sold the kits when the started bringing big money...should of kept one) This will do for my krinkov fix..

Very nice work. I love short AKs.

The cheapest way right now for most people is to by a Draco and SBR it.

once my stamp comes back (or my check is cashed...LOL) this one is a SBR as well. I only have $350.00 in this one so I'm +700 over the krink..Less my 200.00 SBR Check . I have $500.00 for ammo to run thru this one.

When did you send in your Form 1? Did you post in the 2010 time line thread that's in the "NFA" subforum?

Add me to the short AK club. You did a great job on this, can't wait to see it after re-park.

    I thought the same thing...

But when I'm shooting, something about it makes it all worth it, Except it gets hot quick and stinks from the ammo.

I've hit out to 700yds with mine
