Re: Anyone CC in Rivers Casino
This riminds me when they banded pocket knives at airports and the flights and a guy bragged about getting by with a pocket knife that was maybe a belt buckle knife. He was on the phone bragging about it. They made his life miserable for a while at least. I see your point, and it sound like this is not the post to say what you did in typing or writing. Folks may say things in person well before putting it in writing. I am curious myself and understand asking the question. But I understand there are people trying to set people up for their own causes. I am glad you can ask a question like this and people can respond the way they do. I am 50 some years old now and have just started the art of filtering what I want to say to what I actually do say. Once you print and send its is something you can't retract for the most part.

Yes, and no. If you start getting too far up the hill from the casino you're in one of pittsburghs shadier areas. But the North shore is the most "up and coming" places in the burgh. There's already plans for at least one hotel and a shit ton more restaurants. It's comin up fast.

As part of the licensure requirements, in additon to posting the 'no weapons' signs at the entrance, there is the following mandatory policy imposed:
058 Pa Code 465a.11.(b)
(5) A security department supervised by a person located at the licensed facility who functions, for regulatory purposes, as the director of security. The director of the security department shall be licensed as a key employee and be responsible for the overall security of the licensed facility including the following:
(ix) The provision of immediate notice to the Pennsylvania State Police upon detecting the presence in the licensed facility of a person possessing a weapon in violation of § 465a.13 (relating to possession of weapons within a licensed facility).
Possible follow-on actions can be a trespass charge, banishment, or ejection but allowed to return w/o weapon.IANAL

Re: Anyone CC in Rivers Casino
Granted I don't gamble, but I don't agree with it ruining the integrity of a community or enabling people to ruin their lives. People have the freedom to choose how they want to live. I live within walking distance of a few bars, and I can count on 1 finger the number of times I have frequented them.
I have been to a casino twice in my life, I don't get the appeal but its also not like I was tricked into going. If Casino's didnt take your money and turn a profit they wouldnt be in business.
