Default Neighborly Open Carry Trash Pickup at Plymouth Meeting Park

Come on out for a neighborly open carry trash pickup Saturday, April 3rd at 1PM. We'll clean up Plymouth Township's idyllic Bicentennial Park, feed the ducks and otherwise have a grand ole time. Bring your boots, hip waders, gloves, trash bags, your openly- but securely-carried pistol, some food and a folding chair. After we clean up the approximately 5 acre park, we'll grill some dogs and chew the fat.

All participants agree to be audio- and video-taped. A calm bearing when dealing with members of the public and any government agents is a must. Please note that the park lies next to the Plymouth township municipal offices, including the police station.

    How to find us:

We'll meet at the New Hope St entrance to the park, directly north of Central Montco Technical High School. Parking is available at my house on Saw Mill Ct or on the west side of New Hope north of Saw Mill Ct. Call George at 484 868 0684 with any questions.

Here's a google map of the approximate meetup location: http://is.gd/aKPmB

My Saturday work schedule for April hasn't been posted yet, but if I'm available I'd be happy to help.

You mentioned hip waders and ducks. I assume there is a stream that runs through the park? (Or maybe a pond?)

Why not just have a "gun owner" trash pickup?
If some people OC, all the better...
Part of normalizing OC is to OC normally. No need for parades, OC trash pickups with audio/video, etc. Just go about your biz, as a gun owner.

Yes, there is a stream, a few feet deep in some parts, and there is some trash that seems to be only accessible by crossing the stream.

Pa Patriot, that's an interesting idea. I'll keep that in mind for the future. Thanks.

I live right down the street from the park. Could walk there practically. I should be able to go as well.

FYI. It's big speed trap area from both directions (especially on Saturdays) and only 25 mph.

17 fine folks attended, we picked up a bunch of litter and things went off without a hitch. Here's a short video of the event:
