Did you have any trouble balancing the gas system?

With my FN 18" rifle length gas barrel, I had to use the JP LMOS buffer, spring and bolt carrier to get mine to cycle reliably. That's what worked after testing 3 different buffers, 3 different bolt carrier profiles and 4 different springs in various combinations.

How well does that sig brace function as a stock? I'm trying to determine whether its worth it to make a SBR or just stick with the sig brace.

You use a Sig brace until your stamp comes for the real stock.

Isn't the SB-15 a better route for interstate traveling though?

Agreed, and there are a few benefits of running a SB-15. However, any serious working gun should have an appropriate stock.

I suppose if SHTF per say and it's bad enough you're not worried about laws, you wouldn't have to worry about a stamp either when you just say "fuck it all" and slap a rifle lower on it. I can say I wouldn't take it to a carbine class or be running and gun in with it. Despite how tight it fits, it can still shif left to right, and getting a mouth full of brace when you are reacting to a threat could be a but of an issue. Although I might be strangely ok with biting rubber.... Hmmm

You can carry it loaded as a SBR as well. SBRs and SBSs are classified as "firearms" in Pennsylvania, same as pistols.

Once my coworker finishes installed my 10.3" barrel (he said factory upper for my LE6920 has the barrel nut torqued to an excess of 130 ft-lbs when its only supposed to be anywhere from 30 to 60 ft-lbs), my SBR is going to be my trunk gun in a nice little Pelican case with some spare magazines and a light weight chest rig.

Not really. Then you have to worry about LTCF reciprocity and carrying/having a "banned assault pistol" in certain states.

I thought you couldn't leave the state with an SBR unless you got prior approval.
