At first glance, it looks like a light machinegun.

lol I need to enlarge the photos ha take a look at the stock it's the new MFT battlelink extreme made for heavier caliber rifles and shotguns. They literally just came to market. Only downside I paid MAP because it's not available through vendors yet. But damnit I was so close to finishing I had to.

here's kind of a dumb question. has anyone ever dyed plastic furniture? I know it's possible, and, dyeing black is cake.....

yeah, no...I can't be that predictable.

more like dyeing black into fde.

I doubt that's possible. I think you'd need to start with a lighter color. That's why Magpul's "Sand" is often used for custom dye jobs.
Even then, I doubt you could get a true match to FDE.

I know Brownells has a Flat Dark Earth spray paint. I'm wondering if anybody have ever applied that to a quad rail, or a stop. I'm personally really big on the mission first tactical minimalist. I have one, but it is in Black. I recently saw one of the black and Flat Dark Earth two tones, and it really looks good. So, the wheels started turning.

Just get the MFT stock in the color you want.
Sell the black one, or keep it for a future build.

MFT has two "tan" colors - one is closer to FDE than the other.

Haven't shot it in this configuration. "Tested" the upper before using my other pistol lower and had light primer strikes, but that lower has a drop in 4.5 lb trigger.
This lower has a mil spec trigger with a Wolff XP (exxtra power) hammer spring, so I'm confident all will go well this Saturday at the group shoot.

Still debating if I'm going to add a red dot, or skip that and replace the BUIS with fixed front/rear sights.
I plan on getting a LaRue Tactical 2 stage trigger and a Troy Proctor sling.
The only other add on may be a tiny hand stop.

Everything else is as I like:
    - Standard charging handle - because extended charging handles HURT LIKE HELL when you sling a gun across your chest.
    - Trigger guard is my favorite design
    - The POF enhanced bolt catch is a first for me and I wish I had used one on all my builds - I recommend it.
    - The Ergo mag well grip is as close to perfect as I can find on the market - minimalist design that provides a grippy, "swell" to hold if desired without being in the way.
    - Magpul MOE K-2 (reduced angle) grip was a new one for me. Time will tell if the angle agrees with me, but so far, it feels good.
    - The Aero Precision 7" ATLAS S-One M-LOK handguard was not what I had in mind, but I think it was fate that I ended up catching a stupid-good sale and ordering it - I LOVE it.
    - SBA3 pistol brace - while overpriced for what it is, is a VERY nice brace. I had scoffed at them in the past due to price, but prices have fallen, and I really think it's the best option when stepping up from a Shockwave Blade.
    - I have an Odin Works extended mag release on this so it's the same as several other guns I own.

All in all, it's got what I want, and nothing I don't want. The added benefit of building from scratch!

    UPDATE / EDIT:

Shot it yesterday - put about 300 rounds through it - FMJ and HP in a variety of brands - all steel case. OLD Wolf, new Wolf, Tulammo, Wolf Military Classic, Golden Tiger, and some unmarked Russian stuff in a white box.
Not a single issue. Ran 20 rd mag, 28 rd mag, and 30 rd mag.
