Wha? You have snow already?
Stop teasing me. My shipment is now on Day #4 late after expected shipment date.
Looks great.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Re: Post your AR with pictures here!
Had the rifle already and wasn't real big on the Magpul MOE furniture that came with the build kit so it's just been sitting in the corner of the closet collecting dust with an A2 carry handle on it for a year or so now.
Here's how it was before today, shown with the optional CMMG .22lr kit installed.
I decided to press it into HD/SHTF service and decided to make it much more useful so picked up the list of below parts between Black Friday and Christmas deals. The upper is a PSA complete Premium with FN light weight CHF barrel, on a Anderson lower using a PSA premium enhanced LPK.
NEW PARTS:
.BCM PKMR hand guard
.BCM Mod 3 vertical grip
.B5 Sop mod stock
.Ohlight PL2 Valkyrie light
.Holosun HS403GL
.Magpul MBUS Rear sight
.BCM Keymod rail covers
Pretty happy with the feel of the rifle, it's much more user friendly for me due to the new slimmer hand guard and vertical grip.
When I bought this kit a few years back I purchased two so I have another exact clone of the old set up. I am thinking of stripping it completely down and building a higher end rifle using another 18" build that I was never happy with. Going to take the receiver set from the 18", the FN barrel from the PSA rifle remove the A2 FS/gas block off and free float it. The other lower set it a matching spike crusader with a CMMG parts kit and a pretty nice smoothed out RRA two stage trigger in it. I would like to try and shed some lb's off this one vs the standard A2 config.Last edited by Hodgie; December 19th, 2018 at 12:22 PM.

Great picture, who makes the sling?
That lower would be a great candidate for that new light weight upper you picked up.Join the GOA & save $5.00. https://www.gunowners.org/mac-subs-join-goa.htm

Re: Post your AR with pictures here!
It's a Gear Sector 2 point sling.
Here's a mini-review in a "sling thread" I started. (lots of good info through the entire thread)
I have links there to the product, as well as a really thorough review on another forum.
I like it. It's good quality, yet "soft" and flexible. They offer a few different "ends" with different attachment types so you can mix and match, or set it up how you want it.
Yeah, I anxiously await the release of the new version of the GWACS Armory CAV 15 lower.
The mold wore out and production of this lower has since ceased and getting one now is mostly impossible.
They are retooling for an updated lower that incorporates some changes suggested by knowledgeable users of the lower.
Speaking of the sling... when I ordered this one, I also ordered "HK hook" ends, but didn't need them. I ran the "bare loop ends" through the sling loop on the stock mounted magazine holder for the rear, and for the front, I did the same, but made my own sling mount out of paracord.
I ran it at an angle that positioned the sling the way I wanted it. So far, so good. I'm going to do the same for the other upper you mentioned.
Why spend $40 on a sling mount? This is light, quiet, and practically free.
