I like, but since I bought a lower that takes Colt stick mags and 15 mags to go with it, I can't make myself buy one that takes HK mags given the price.

POF mags are generally considered the closest thing to HK mags without the price. You can usually find them around the $30 mark, but they disappear pretty quick. Korean KCI mags can be a bit cheaper, but depending on the generation, finish and reliability can be hit or miss.

Coming from an MP5 clone owner, I don't see why anyone would want a 9mm AR lower that takes MP5 mags. They're heavier, they're expensive, and they don't support a last round bolt hold open (which to me, is one of the main appeals of a 9mm AR). About the only thing going for them is reliability and sexiness. But if that's what you're going for, you might as well just get the MP5 to go with them instead of using them in a gun for which they weren't designed.

Thanks to a member on here I was able to upgrade my match service rifle to a UBR gen 1.
Good thing about the gen 1 is for CMP shooters I can change out the bottom sling mount to a Mil type and they make a better lead weight for the storage hole for balance. Also put on a thicker squared off buttpad.
Now I can get my nose on the handle in offhand easier.

Took me exactly 2 years of parts gathering until completion, but here's my first AR...finally done! Can't test it thanks to thw Wu Flu closing my range, but I love the way it looks.

Milling out a pistol lower already.
