Re: Post your AR with pictures here!
Since it is my first rifle, of any kind, I wanted to keep the cost down so that meant going budget and not getting a free floating rail. It came to about $350 total for upper and lower (it was a good time to buy unlike now). The priority was learning how to shoot it, hence the reason for the fixed rear sight which was a used Troy. The light mount was the most the most expensive add on but it does put the light where it should go without adjustment and necessary.
The best part about the experience was building it and sighting it. YouTube research and all that, but in the end it came out great and I can say its mine. Spent the rest of the budget on ammo learning how to shoot it, a long way to go in that department. Unfortunately, I only get to fire it when I am back to visit my Mom in the 'burgh, USA for about a month, but this year does not look good. I was really looking forward to getting some instruction this year as I did not have the time last summer.

Building a 9mm AR pistol right now, just waiting for the OD Green SBA3 brace to complete it. The Cerakote color is one of their Elite series colors called Jungle (a bit darker than OD Green)
The "Star Wars" pistol look
With a 3 lug mount for a Rugged Obsidian 9mm suppressor
With a KAK INDUSTRY 1/2x36 9MM SLIMLINE FLASH CAN

I know, "kinda gay looking" but I have a few standard lowers so right now no need to buy a dedicated 9mm lower. Maybe in the future.

When I saw that those Stern Defense mag well gadgets come in 45ACP, I started thinking about building a 45 AR pistol.
Not sure I like the "mag release", but it does seem to be the most affordable way to go 45ACP.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

The mag release takes some getting used to but for me it's just a push with my trigger finger and it drops out. The Stern really locks in the mag well securely

If I were to build a 9mm, I think I would get one of those lowers that runs MP5 curved mags! That would be sweet! (Expensive, but sweet!!) New Frontier Billet Lower... https://www.newfrontierarmory.com/pr...-billet-lower/
Just look at it! Look at it!! This one needs a PDW brace but holy sweet mother of god!
